Sentinels of humanity
The hostel advises and helps women's groups (sentinels of humanity). They are bestowing in the mangrove reforestation and in the processing of cereals, fishing products and seasonal fruits. We support some villages in their actions of fishing and oysters, mechanism reconciling environmental protection and improvement of living conditions of the populations.
Together, we will set up a shop of "Local Products". This shop will be managed by a disabled (the hostel is also investing in the construction of the center for disabled, in Sokone).
Field trip : l'île aux coquillages (shells Island )
The island contains a history : archaeological finds, pottery, copper ornaments hand-crafted and skeletons dating back several centuries.
Excavations have detected burial mounds that served as tombs dating from the seventh to the thirteenth century.
The most majestic baobab in this forest, with a majestic trunk, is called "sacred baobab", it's the most visited. Inside, we still practice prayer, sacrifice and libation.
About the schools
Foundation of "ecology and citizenship "clubs that bring together young people. Designating for each class the best girl and best boy, which will take care of the trees that I've planted in all Sokone schools.
Thereby, for the ratio, each member is required to plant a tree in his own home and influence their neighborhood friends to do the same.
These are the different clubs that will make field trip mentioned above, a good opportunity to know the species of traditional trees endangered, which unfortunately had a very effective use of pharmacopoeia.
Reforestation and preservation of mangrove
To preserve the ecosystem of the Saloum Delta, I organized eco-pedagogic field trips with primary school children to help them understanding the dynamics of conservation and to develop eco-friendly practices in their behavior.
L’auberge du delta : Synergy with culture, crafts and especially with mechanisms reconciling environmental protection and the improvement of living conditions for local populations.
The young people of the "Bloc Homogeneous"
The organization "Bloc Homogène" was born from the bowels of the football club Sokone "Omar Daf" (International player from Sokone, who has long played at FC Sochaux, a french team). The Hostel also sponsors and coordinates its activities, their ultimate goal is ecology. We recently organized a day "protect our coastline."

We also organize academic trip
A set of local and national partners are involved in these stays of academic courses. These courses may be directed to various themes, their duration varies according to the chosen theme.
Thus, the hostel ensures reception and accommodation, food and drink, management, transport of students, documentation and translation of documents for english speaking students.
Among the students (English speaking) who come here to enjoy our services and our hostel, most of them are from US, volunteers for “Peace Corps”.
